Boy Scout Troop 8 is located in the Madison - Monrovia area of North Alabama. We meet on Sunday from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church which also serves as our Chartering Organization.

Troop 8 currently consists of 7 patrols: Dragon, Lightning, Pedro, Raven, Roadrunner, Scorpion and Stag. Each patrol consists of 8 to 10 Scouts. Scouts take on leadership roles as the Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guides, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader and various troop staff positions.

BSA Troop 8 - August 2007

Troop 8 (July 2006) on top Baldy Mountain (12,400 feet) at the Philmont Scout Ranch. Part of a 62 mile backbacking trek. Air temperature was about 60 degrees with a 40-50 mph wind - the crew was cold.
